Chocolate Hummus Sharing Board

Feeds 4 | Preparation time 5 minutes

What to do:

  1. Drain the chickpeas and save the water.
  2. Add all of the ingredients to a blender or food processor along with 2 tbsp of the reserved chickpea water (aquafaba). Blend until really smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as necessary. Add more aquafaba as needed for a thinner consistency.
  3. Transfer to an airtight container and keep in the fridge for 3-5 days.
  4. To serve on a dessert board, spoon the Vegan Healthy Chocolate Hummus into small bows and top with cacao nibs and flaky salt. Serve with your favourite sweets like Mini Trail Mix Cookies, fresh fruit and cacao nibs.

  • 1 tin chickpeas (save the water)

  • 60g smooth cashew or almond butter

  • 90ml maple syrup 

  • 20g cacao powder

  • 1tsp coffee

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2-3 tbsp drained chickpea water (aquafaba)

  • To serve: cacao nibs flaky salt
